I've got a crush on the World! I've been afflicted with a lifelong wanderlust that I can't shake. Since I was a child, mom and dad fueled my desire to dream big, to go places, to see the world. From them I learned to appreciate the treasure that is to travel with family and other special people in our lives.
I was born and raised in the Island of Enchantment, Puerto Rico, which means I was automatically spoiled since birth with oceans, mountains, rivers, forests, and a great food culture. An amazing career opportunity brought me and my little family to Texas when my son (my travel buddy) was a toddler. After many years in the corporate world, it was finally time to pursue my entrepreneurial dream, and that is how The Splendid Life Travel Designs was born.
Simply stated, my two passions are FAMILY & TRAVEL. I can't have one without the other!
Happiness is planning a trip to somewhere new,
with the people you love and cherish the most.

Travel is my Therapy
Nothing brings me more joy than the anticipation of going on a trip, the countdown to the day I happily depart. Planning my next getaway lifts my spirit, especially when I'm visiting a destination for the first time. It's definitely a 'butterflies-in-my-stomach' moment. For many years, I planned all our trips and enjoyed helping friends and family with their itineraries and destination travel tips. So it was just a matter of time before I took that passion from a hobby to a business. I absolutely love what I do!
My passion and curiosity for travel, adventure, and world cultures has been with me since I was a child. My happiest memories are of my own child, now a Freshman in college, when he saw so many beautiful places and landmarks for the first time: the Statue of Liberty, the Eiffel Tower, Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria, Antelope Canyon in Arizona, Cesky Krumlov in Czech Republic, Interlaken & the Sphynx Observatory in Switzerland, Niagara Falls, The Grand Canyon, The Very Large Array in New Mexico, the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Wherever I go, he goes. Traveling the world and learning to understand and appreciate other cultures first hand, is the best legacy any parent can leave their child.

Some of the destinations (not all) on my Bucket List? Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Morocco, Faroe Islands, Machu Picchu, Singapore, Glacier National Park/Banff
Foodie Alert! No calorie counting on vacation! I love to try local dishes everywhere I go.
The best gift I ever gave my husband was an Atlas. It was huge! We literally had to set it down on the floor to turn the pages.
